Stephen Moyer Comments On Fans & R Pattz

Stephen Moyer talks about Twilight star Robert Pattinson and True Blood’s younger audience:

True Blood star Stephen Moyer has insisted that he does not view Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson as competition.

The HBO series, which co-stars Anna Paquin, has frequently been compared to the Twilight movie franchise because both projects feature vampires as main characters.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Moyer said: “No, [he is not competition]. I could be his dad. I’d have to have started young but…

“I think there are worse things for a teen to be enraptured with than Twilight. I can understand why you would give someone that book and say, this is good, it’s about a chaste love affair, please fall in love with Robert Pattinson.”

He added: “Our show’s very different, of course, and has its place. Although sometimes I’ll get 10 or 11 year olds coming up and asking for my autograph, and I say, ‘Have you seen that show?’ and they go, ‘Yeah, love it’.

“I couldn’t sit in the same room as my mother and watch that show. I mean, it’s seriously racy.”

Alexander Skarsgard recently appeared on KCRW’s “Guest DJ Project”, which is a Santa-Monica based radio station wherein various celebrities make song dedications on the air.Alexander selected five songs:

Song 1: Rolling Stones, “Mother’s Little Helper”

He spent a week at his dad’s country house in southern Sweden. His dad’s grandfather built that house, which has no running water. When Alex was a kid, they’d go out and pump water and sing that song. At the time he didn’t know a word of English, but he would shout gibberish and it was a cool thing to share with his dad.

“I want to dedicate this song to my old man and I want to thank him for not building a Jacuzzi out there or an infinity pool or anything like that.”

These vampires can’t be stopped.  HBO’s True Blood has posted another record high, luring over 5.3 million viewers into its vamp den over the weekend.  It’s a trend that is sort of unheard of, True Blood’s second season is winding to a close and the ratings continue to climb, climb, climb.  Great stuff.

Anna Paquin’s Nylon Interview

Posted by: Chris  //  Category: Anna Paquin

In her interview with Nylon magazine, Anna Paquin shared her thoughts on doing nude scenes and what it’s like to go blonde:

“I don’t think a naked body is particularly shocking or interesting,” the 27-year-old “True Blood” star told Nylon for its September issue.

“It’s not the culture I was raised in,” Paquin said. “I was not brought up in the United States. I don’t share the [attitude] that you can have graphic violence, but — God forbid — you see someone’s nipples.”

Paquin also told Nylon that it’s been interesting to see how people approach her now that she’s gone blonde for the role.

“I don’t look like a Barbie doll, and probably never will,” she says. “People are incredibly literal in how they view you. You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding. The second you dye your hair blonde and get a spray tan, people treat you as if you’re a bit stupider and happier. Suddenly, it’s like you’re hot and sexy.”

Deborah Ann Woll Movie News!

Posted by: Chris  //  Category: Deborah Ann Woll

Deborah Ann Woll, otherwise known to True Blood fans as Bon Temps’ newest teenage vampire Jessica, has landed herself a movie role! Woll’s new movie, “Mother’s Day”, is a remake of the 1980 cult horror film:

The original film, from legendary genre specialist Troma Entertainment, revolved around three female friends who, while camping, run afoul of two brothers who engage in murder and rape to impress their deranged mother.

The remake sees the villainous family, slightly expanded to include a daughter (Woll), return to the house where they grew up and terrorize the new owners and their guests.

It will be directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, who shot three of the “Saw” movies. The producers are eyeing a spring release timed for Mother’s Day with a shoot to begin in the fall in Manitoba.
