I cannot sign into my (old) account. Why is that?
Old accounts are not accessible at this new, temporary forum.

Do I need to register?
No, you do not need to register... unless you are a staff member or want to post under a username. This TEMP board is OPEN for GUEST posts.
Staff must register and PM admins for staff status. Once you have access to it, please check the staff forum for info.

Will the posts and accounts of this TEMP board be merged with the OLD forum once it’s back up?
No. Once the OLD forum is back up, this TEMP forum will be deleted. All posts members make at the temp. forum will not be able to be merged with their old account.

Why weren’t we notified of the downtime and problems beforehand?
The downtime and issues we’re facing were UNFORESEEN. The downtime was as much a surprise to members as it was to the admins. If we could have sent out or put up a warning, we would have. The board was closed before we had a chance to access the member list and send out an e-mail to all of the members. We were not even able to put up a page about the downtime due to the technical problems.

When will the old DFN site and forums be back up? What's going on?
The "old" DFN will be back up ASAP. We do not yet know the exact date. Please be patient. We are still working on resolving unexpected technical issues and are doing everything we can to get DFN back online asap. Once we have some things sorted out, we will be putting out an update for members.

You may ask your questions in here or contact an admin directly. (Staff... please use/visit the staff forum.)

We ask that members and staff please be understanding and patient while we work on getting the “old” DFN back online.

Is there still a post limit for members in regards to signatures?

The only thing posted in the rules is this:
Signatures
- The maximum size permitted for a signature is 500 x 250 pixels or 10.0 KB.

Avatars
- The maximum size of your custom image is 100 x 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Probably not, since the posts are starting over from zero. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to have a sig now, but I could be wrong. I might have access to a sig just because I'm staff.

We maybe an exception as staff as far as I can tell. I had a signture as early as six posts, but Rob was asking me about signatures earlier.

Yeah, I think it is limited to staff actually... I just could put one in after getting my color back!

img for images and gifs... url if you want to have a link.

make sure you put image tags around it. [*img] the url of the image here [/*img] remove the *'s

also make sure the url goes DIRECTLY to the image.

yeah our signatures have been 500x250, so that's fine...

When the "old" DTS returns and this Temp. is deleted. Will anything be changed about our member information?

aha i see the image. okae it seems you didn't put it in image tags. [*img]url of pic here[*/img] remove the *'s from the tags.

carad, if all goes well yes everyone's account/member information should be the same and in the system. we're all playing it by ear... and hoping for the best.

Hi - I'm seeing all the 'signature' questions here -
I'm purple but the sig banner I edited and saved in User CP is NOT showing up in other forums, DTTW & DTS to be exact. Others' sig-banners are.
I did it as I always do, and it's showing up HERE, but - ??

ETA: Mine's showing up now too - strange, but it seems like any posts made before I added the sig-banner don't show it. Oh well.

I added a signature and it won't show up at all. Anyone that can help, it'll be appreciated. I don't understand why it won't show up. I have gone thru everything I can think of but I am lost.

ETA: Well there it is. Guess I had to post first. Dumb me.

It's true that any posts made before you put a signature, stays blank... but that's true I've noticed on DFN as well. If you post without a signature, it'll stay that way. Though if your posts have signatures beforehand, changing them to something else will change all posts with siggys at the bottom to your current one. Does that make any sense? lol

ok already copy and paste as it should be anything but you can see my signature ... that I really can not see and copy what you as I says it will be the configuration options that are fine and I saw this as you think you should please help thanks
