Default Chloe's death unofficially confirmed?

Well it seems that Chloe's death might be all but officially confirmed. Mike Ausiello at EW.com has posted a new article today listing the shows' death toll for the spring 2009 end of season and although he does not mention Chloe Sullivan by name when it comes to Smallville, her picture features in the article!! Stay tuned for updates as they become available!!

What do you think? Slip of the tongue or just plain guessing?

Thank you Olea for sharing this. He put Chloe in the group who could do for sure. Whether he just played with the fans or said the truth, time will tell. But he will get a lot of hits on his blog for sure. :p

Thanks Olea for the information. It would be very sad that person who will die was Chloe.

Thanks, Carmen.

He sure made a giveaway on that blog. I have to admit, it makes sense for Chloe to go since Clark, Lois, and Jimmy are all in their places which resulted little to no room for Chloe to go elsewhere. Also, Chloe and Davis have become a story on to themselves which doesn't really affect Clark's journey much.

isn't all this a bit juvenile? He has said already that one of the two deaths is that of a male , now we have Chloe's pic right on our faces along with the older clue about the character being a longtime one and yet, after all these, they still , supposedly, want us to keep us guessing.

It's so stupid, it's like asking someone "what has 4 legs and meows?". What do you expect us to answer...the frog?

How interesting that the characters who are spotlighted in the next several episodes will be the ones to go.

see ...now I am not sure! This is what I said this is all too juvenile. Suddenly it turned too obvious who will die.

It's Davis and Chloe. But then why keep guessing, why not just saying, if it's them , all this game now "who will die?" is very stupid. So why he would be so obvious?

To turn people off track maybe. Chloe's the obvious choice already whether he posts a pic or not. I think he's doing this just to mess with people, because most already assume she's the one that has to go. I don't think she's the one that's going to die.

Has everyone forgotten that Doomsday killed Superman?

That obviously proves that Clark is going to die!!

Gosh people!

Use your comic knowledge!!

So, Clark is going to die.

And just because Chloe's picture is part of the article, does not mean that it's her that is going to die. . .

Chloe has died many different times, and it's kind of getting old.

Clark and Davis are both probably going to die, because Superman killed Doomsday, and then died himself.

So, clearly there's two people who are going to die.

They usually aren't telling the truth when they say a death is going to stick.

So next time they tell you two people are going to die, just remember the comics and remember that Superman died at the hands of Doomsday and vice versa.

That is correct, Doomsday killed Superman. BUT, since we're talking about comics knowledge, something like 10 years in the future when he will be Superman. Right now, he's not even Superboy.

Besides, there won't be a season 9 without one Clark Kent.

Clark, Lois and Jimmy all have a future together at the Daily Planet. So those characters are essentially in the safe zone and with the announcement, that the deaths are permenant ones, that removes the possibility of them being victims at all. Same applies for Green Arrow since the character maintains his own title in the DC Universe and serves on the Justice League.

Davis is purely a creation of SV canon, but puts forth the Jekyll and Hyde scernaio with the character. Doomsday, the monster himself is the final step to full on domination and according to Zoara, that was the plan for his creation all along. With the rumor of a wrestler taking over the role permenantly next season as the monster. Davis' purpose is completely taken care of.

Chloe has always been a possibility since Season 1. Much in the vein of Lionel Luthor. She's got no physical attachment to any sort of comics canon or Superman media outside of the show. She also remains one of the original creations of SV since Season 1. She's an alum. So she's an extremely high possibility at this point.

Tess. Yet another original creation, that works as homage to Ms. Tessamucher and Mercy. If the rumor holds true, that Lex is actually coming back next season. Her purpose has been served. But if not, they'll likely keep her in since her ties to LuthorCorp.

Most likely: Davis and Chloe.
Pretty likely: Tess.
Unlikely: Clark, Lois, Jimmy and Green Arrow.

All mythos characters like Clark, Lois, Jimmy, and Oliver are safe. Yes, Doomsday did kill Superman. However, we are dealing with Clark before he's Superman and before he flies. It's going to make no sense to kill Clark before he does these things. I can see Tess surviving into the 9th season, where she may be gone at the hands of Lex or they can keep her as Lex's bodyguard.

The death is PERMANENT, Clark isn't gonna die if it's going to be a permanent death, Lois is out of the equation, given she's in Superman's future, as is Jimmy

That pretty much leaves Chloe.

I don't see why Ausiello would want to throw people off, he must know that people pretty much figure it's Chloe, so what would be the point? If he were doing this, he'd have put up pictures of someone else, that would throw people off

the thing is that there is no point either in hinting so much at Chloe and at the same time still leaving us to "guess". It's stupid.

I dunno why he would add Chloe's face there and let the name be a mysterious still... Maybe he's teasing us... *frown*

Ausiello puts pictures up all the time to confuse people, so I won't take this as "unofficially confirmed" just yet. I'm so tired of Chloe is going to die, Chloe is evil.... maybe the deaths are Martha (offscreen) and a meteor freak (a recurring one). Kristen did say freaks were getting killed. Who knows. Seriously, it would just be ridiculous to kill Chloe and Davis. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I'm just wondering why writers always want to kill a major character at the end of each season !!! They could hang us on with something else

I think it's a fetish. I mean each year instead of trying to be more creative to surprise the fans and keep them on their toes, they feel a death will serve this purpose. They can't help it....

ETA: Kristin from E!Online posted this:

Quote:
Carolyn: Hi, Kristin, any good Chloe spoilers in the Smallville pipeline?

K: Thanks to Zantanna (Serinda Swan), Chloe and Lois are going to be switching bodies in "Hex," but there could be more crazy stuff for Allison Mack to come. Cassidy Freeman tells me, "I think it's really interesting what they're doing with Chloe. You have this show that has been on for so long, and you have this character that's not really in the mythos and has had to create her own self. You can do anything with her and that's kind of what they're doing."

Madison in N.Y.: How about a good Smallville spoiler?

K: How's this? Meteor freaks start dying in Metropolis, but don't be so quick to think Doomsday is the culprit.

Thanks Olea for the information. Very interesting. That quote say: "Meteor freaks start dying in Metropolis". Then Chloe became in a meteor phenomenon. Then It means that Chloe could die. I hope that Chloe doesn´t die.

Thanks, Carmen.

I agree Olea, but can't they just keep us with a big big riddle or something like ? I think SV fans would be on the RDV as well...

Someone kicking the bucket each season is not going to be exicting anymore. The death is permanet so due we know it's not Clark. I don't want Chloe to die either, heck DC wanted to buy the rights to her character and give her possibly her own comic book. I even think Jimmy was put in place for Pete, it would had made more sense if Chloe had married Pete, but what ever.
