I was surprised hat Dean went to the past and knew his parents and grandparents.

And very shocked to know that Mary was a hunter... Who made a DEAL to save John's life.

They did an awesome job on the casting for this episode. Young John was very cute! And I was also surprised that Mary turned out to be a Hunter as well. But I like the way they did that. Especially since Sam used to ask the question if their mom would 'really want them to have a life of a hunter'. And it's neat to find that Sammy was named after his grandfather? Just loved the whole episode.

I totally agree with you, Lucy!

I also liked that Mary was a mix of Dean and Sam. She wanted to have a normal life and also put the love for her family above of anything else.

i loved the part when Dean went something like

haha, yeah, I loved that part too.

I am so happy with the actors that they chose to play young John and Mary, especially after seeing their return in the 5th season. And of course, the twist in which Mary was actually a hunter? Pretty unexpected, but very cool. I like when they're able to bring the "female hunter" aspect to the show.

Another thing I loved was that Sam was always in the back of Dean's mind... Very cute.

I didn't understand what Caz sent him back to the past to stop if there was no way to stop Azazel and then i saw swan song and it all clicked into place: It was all about the Impala not the demon. It is after all "the most important object..."

You mean that Dean had to make John choose the Impala so it could save the world?

*Thinking over it* Ok... It might be, but if they had grow up in another car, all the memories would follow it. I love the Impala, but the end game would be the same.

I think Castiel sent him back so he would see the whole truth about his mother and family with his own eyes.
