Ausiello: Clark and Zod will have an inevitable (and rather spectacular) showdown before the end of the season. And look for Lois and Perry to team up on the Kandorians story.

Looking forward to their showdown, and hoping it's better than the anti-climatic Doomsday vs. Clark showdown in "Doomsday" without the guilty burden (though I know that's a slim chance of this happening). The most interesting part is that this is before the finale...hmm...

If they're going to fight, I hope it's better than the one from the 6th season and one from last season finale. It should be close to the one between Clark and Titan.

While Clark reunites with Martha, Lois is going to interact with Perry and this may be the start of them working together in their later years. I also hope Clark interacts with Perry as well.

I'm guessing the confrontation Ausiello is referring to is the one we saw in the teaser in the Fortress Of Solitude .

I'm very intrigued to see where Lois's story with the kandorians leads too that Perry White ends up getting involved.

I think the Clark/ Zod confrontation starts in Hostage, where the Kandorians could capture Lois, Martha, and Perry as hostages. I believe they will get their powers by that point.

I wonder how it's going to be an epic fight between Clark and Zod since Clark still can't fly and Zod does. It's not going to be that much different from the one in the 6th season.

It seems the whole Zod & Kandorians storyline will end this season. I can't wait to see Clark and Zod fighting.

It's interesting that Lois and Perry working together about the Kandorians story which means the Kandorians are exposed or both working on Checkmate which has also something to do with the Kandorians to some extent.

I think Lois and Perry will find out about the Kandorians through Checkmate.

I agree that the main season-storyline of Zod and his army will most likely last until the end of the season and not returning for the 10th season.

The way the stories are going for the rest of the season, the second half of this season is definitely stronger than the first half.

This screams of Superman 2, remember how Zod and company refered Lois as Ka-El's favorite human? I wouldn't be suprised if they took her, knowing among all the humans, she is Superman's favorite.
