Now Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly brings us more of his talk with Smallville showrunner Kelly Souders on his Ask Ausiello column.

Question: When are you going to post your Q&A with the Smallville producers? — Trisha
Ausiello: I’m eschewing the customary Q&A in favor of a parceling-out approach. Here’s one scoop. Here’s another. And, looky here, there’s a bunch more below!

Question: Will Clois move full-steam ahead on Smallville or will there be a monkey wrench that derails the train? —Murnice
Ausiello: While the relationship hasn’t exactly moved along faster than a speeding bullet, you’ll be glad to know that there are blue skies on the horizon — beginning with this week’s big smooch. “They both have a few issues, so things never go as smoothly as you think,” says exec producer Kelly Souders. “But what’s great about the relationship, because it’s sort of more adult, mature relationship, is it actually brings their issues up to the forefront, and makes them start dealing with them instead of being the younger versions of themselves, where they might not have been that conscious of it.”

Question: Will Clark ever find out about Lois’ so called “Sex Dream” on Smallville? —Lisa
Ausiello: “I would say tune into [episode 9] ‘Pandora,’” Souders teases. “Reality is relative in ‘Pandora,’ but I will say that when [Lois] goes to the future, there’s some skin there.” Souders adds that “‘Pandora’ is literally like a finale. It’s huge. You’ll see an alternate ending for everyone in the cast. You’ll see what could happen to them and the future is dramatic. You won’t be disappointed.”

Question: When will Clark put on the iconic glasses on Smallville? —Jackson
Ausiello: “There’s something coming up in these first nine episodes,” Souders reveals, “in which Clark might at least contemplate glasses.”

Question: Why has Allison Mack had so little screen time on Smallville this season? —Kathy
Ausiello: The calm before the storm, perhaps? “Chloe fans will not be disappointed,” Souders maintains. “There will be some budding romance in her life from an unexpected source.” Oliver? “I’m not saying.” In possibly related news, Souders reveals to me exclusively that during the second half of the season, “Chloe is going to meet a new hero who is not all that he’s cracked up to be.” Will this hero be carrying a DC Comics certificate of authenticity? “I don’t think we got the rights to his name cleared,” says Souders, “but it’s somebody fans of the show will be familiar with.” Guesses? Yes! Address the glasses! I'm dying to see what they'll have worked out because I feel that issue is just a huge thorn in the side of Clark's secret identity.

This is nice to hear. There definitely should be a difference in the way this relationship is handled than ones in the past. It will be a interesting comparison.

I wouldn't be so sure....they probably think Emil and Chloe sounds like the perfect budding romance as ridiculous as that is.

I don't think it's the new hero either. Just based on the previous spoiler from Natalie Abrams. I still think it's fan bait and spin from the writers to keep Chloe fans interested. I know a lot of people believe it. But, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm still waiting on "Chloe fans will be happy" last season from BP, now we have "Chloe fans won't be disappointed," from KS. Don't make me laugh. I mean, really? Really??? Action speaks louder than words. And notice that she STILL didn't answer why Chloe has no screen time. Talk about evading.

And the hero hasn't even been approved which means it could be changed at any moment. I still remember when SDK spoiled Chloe's new love interest for Chloe in season 6. It was SUPPOSED to be Oliver and then they got the green light on Jimmy (which turned out to mean squat) and we got Chimmy instead.

The fact that said hero has not been approved yet scares me of said final product. So, fact: there are still NO spoilers on Chloe Sullivan. I know they are working on writing episode 15, so NOTHING in between all of that???????

I won't be getting my hopes up. I'll take anything other then Emil. I'll take Bart, Oliver, George, or someone else. If its Emil, I'm done.

A lot is going to be happening for the rest of the season. I believe Crossfire is going to be the episode that will pick things up. I'm glad that Clois will not be anything like Clana. Pandora must be the episode that will end the first half, but will serve as a preview of the second half. A 10th season must happen.

i think it's bart.. you know, still using impulse rather than flash... that's the first thought that came to my mind but i don't think bart fits the 'new' description.. i don't think it's emil too because emil in the comics is not a hero

here is why I think it is still Oliver

We keep hearing things like 'budding romance', 'a hint of some feelings under the surface', 'moved onto ppl who are more suited to each other', 'if you pay attention I think there's somebody she maybe has a little fire for'. These aren't phrases you use for a guest star, neither Emil or a 'new hero'. This kind of thing needs SCREENTIME AND EPISODES, only another regular can give you that.

Add to this the 'somebody who is very charming and it would be hard for anybody not to have a fire for' - well obviously this screams Oliver Queen and have they even cast this new hero? how would they know we would all have a fire for him? They haven't even been given the green light to release the name yet.

There is also the comment about 'She has a couple things coming up. We've talked a lot with Allison because Chloe's big issue this year — she's having a hard time trusting people, understandably. Other people have come and gone in her life. She's got a few things below the surface about which she hasn't been very forthcoming with people around her. I think there's going to be a couple of surprises along the way, some of them more personal than others.' - is she really going to start trusting someone she only just met who 'maybe not all they cracked up to be'? someone who she can share with how she is feeling and why she is feeling that way? someone she can open her heart too? that would be some amount of dialogue between Chloe and 'the new guy'.

Then there is the new BP interview:'This year Chloe is really taking charge in a way that she never has before and really owning her own identify as a super hero kind of in her own right, in what she does, rather than just being a sidekick. So I think that's really going to blossom in the middle section of the season, when we come back after the holidays. You see a few hints of that in the first nine episodes, but then that really blossoms when we get into ten through sixteen'. - we know these eps are heavy in GA/JLA so if something is going to happen I think it will happen then. Plus the use of the word 'blossom' is suggestive to me. He also said they've worked close with Allison this year creatively on the direction her character is going, which makes me happy because both Allison and Justin said they would like Chlollie. I also like the symmetry of having them save each other this season but in different ways.

Oh and if this is the case then Kirsten couldn't know about the romance, why didn't she say no not Oliver but it someone else?

And where are the future Ollie spoilers? - exactly because on top of his GA duties he's gonna be trying to get Chloe to trust him, to open up to him and helping her heal.

Lastly, the 'unexpected source' part - I think they have Oliver in mind because so many ppl assume Ollie will end up with Dinah on the show.

Nope I'm actually more convinced that ever, there going Chlollie and if they don't well I will be utterly gobsmacked.

Thanks gabriela for more information. I like that part say, Clark will use glasses in any episode. And I understand from that question about Clark and Lois, They are not going to be a really couple in love. Only good friends want to much each other.

Another observation: Definitively Chloe Sullivan need some history in this season 9th. It´s great that she will has a romance.

Thinking Bart or Oliver

Kelly didn't say it though, Ausiello said 'possibly related' he's guessing and do you think would Chloe really open her heart again with all the trust issues she has to someone who 'maybe not be all he's cracked up to be?' I think Chloe is smarter than that, but time will tell.

After watching "Crossfire" my guess is Stuart since it looks like he will be working at the Watchtower with Chloe by double-crossing Tess. So I would imagine Stuart and Chloe will have more interaction now, and they were both impressed by each other's hacking skills. While I do love Chloe's interaction with Bart (though I still see him as kid when they are together), Emil (though I think he is too old for her), and Ollie. Granted it's my own subjective ship bias here, but it's just I do find Stuart kinda cute. I would love to see more Stuart, and his interaction with Chloe and Co.

Will I don't think it will be Stuart, looking at actor profile it seems he isn't in anymore, he could come in sometime second half, but I don't see it. It seems to me this episode its like Oliver with Speedy taking him under her wing. That's it. But that just me. I am still thinking its Oliver or Bart.

And agree with Lori

I think Chloe is using Stuart as a pawn, she's manipulating the chess board just like they said she would this season. The Queen chess piece last ep was a good hint.
