Yeh, TW with greying hair would be alright. Plus they can save on the budget for other new characters.

Hey fellow DTS-ers. Since it's been announced that Julian Sands has been cast as 'young' Jor-El, I thought I'd try and compare his features with Tom's. Here's what I made. I was actually surprised by how similar a lot of their features are/can be. Particularly the the chin & muscle lines around the mouth, the nose (granted Julian's has that ridge at the tip of his) & the brow/nose ridge area. Then, for kicks I put tom's hair on Julian. Followed by a 'half & half' with a younger Julian & Tom from Season 3's Relic. I'm not saying they're dead ringers or anything, but similarities are definitely there. And I can maybe start to see why Lara might have mistaken Kal-El for Jor-El as she awoke from the Krypto-sleep thingie in the Fortress in Season 7. Cuz, you know, it's all 'glossy' in the Fortress and she was standing a ways back and all.

What do you guys think? Am I way off on this? It is 3 o'clock in the am, after all...

I think Julian Sands is a good choice. I enjoyed his work in 24 and Stargate SG1. So I am sure he will prove to be an excellent older Jor-El.
