Tonight Ausiello on EW.com once again has scoop about Smallville, this time we heard about Tess Mercer and a little about the third episode of the season "Rabid".

Question: We’ve heard Smallville spoilers on Clark, Lois, Oliver, Chloe, Zod, Wonder Twins, and Shelby, but what about Tess? —Daniel
Ausiello: In the early going, Tess will be interacting mostly with Zod. They’ll eventually align, but they’ll have different agendas: She wants to protect the Blur, he wants to find it. In other Smallville news, I hear episode 3 — featuring a zombified Lois — is spooktacular.

I was right that Tess won't be interacting with Clark in the 9th season as much as last season. This is where Zod realizes that Tess knows who the Blur is and why he had one of his men interrogate her.

As for Lois being a zombie, that's not a new spoiler. I think she'll be a zombie after she and Clark try to fight them off.
