Question: Smallville scoop, please! --Jason

Ausiello: John Schneider, Annette O'Toole, and John Glover are back! Sort of! The Smallville vets will appear via flashback in the April 2 episode, which delves into Davis' backstory. Is it old footage? New footage? CGI? No comment, no comment, and no comment! Oh, speaking of Smallville, click here to see Erica Durance in action as Stiletto!

Thanks for the news, Gaby.

Doesn't matter if its new footage or old footage in my books. Just glad to hear their at least coming back in some capacity. Even if its purely for the Davis origin episode.

pfft once again they are using Erica to promote the show...the whole clip barely has her and Ausiello is all "click here to watch her as Stiletto". Yeah of course, they know what the fans want to watch, but who cares if the show doesn't give enough of her?

I had to rewatch to catch Lois as Stiletto, but she looks amazing.

It could be a combination of old footage and stunt doubles for Eternal. There's no doubt that Davis will not return for the 9th season because it seems to wrap up his character.

Exactly and it pisses me off that Erica is only present in 12 episodes this season.

Not only Lois, but Jimmy, Davis, and Oliver are also in 12 episodes each. If Tess appears in the season finale, her episode count is going to be 13.

It doesn't matter what we say, they have an idea in their heads about what fans want to see and are planing everything using it as a guide. Doesn't matter if it is not true, it's all pretty in lalaland. If they had been hearing the fans, Lana would not have returned in the capacity she did. They almost burnt down the show with their reckless adoration. It felt like a black hole took over for 5 episodes and then thank God we're back to normal.

I diagree with you there Olea, to me to the two worst episodes of this fantastic season has been POWER and REQUIEM. But thus far season 8 has been the best season of Smallville ever, I'm buying this dvd before I buy season 7.

I'm confused!!! If you hated "Power" and "Requiem" then why do you disagree with me? I said that the Lana episodes were bad too!!!

Thanks gottara for the information about the Episode Eternal. John Schneider, Annette O'Toole, and John Glover will appear in this Episode, But Definitively only in the mind of someone, Clark Kent. I mean Clark Kent will remember them. It would be great that Martha Kent can appear in this Episode but in person talking with Clark Kent.

And the quote say: "Erica Durance in action". It´s great.

Thanks, Carmen.

Absolutely. The Lana arc was completely pointless and ruined the quality of the show's eighth season so far!

I just hope Erica is gonna be in way more than 13 episodes next season. She deserves it! I mean, why can't she be there all the time, just like Clark? Chloe gets so much screentime, and she's, imo, as important as Lois!

The Lana arc derailed the 8th season. I wonder if this is the intention of some of the showrunners who are leaving for Melrose Place.

Because you said five episodes. Which includes Bride, Legion, Bulletproof, Power and Requim. Only Power and Requim were the awful onces.

Can't say I disagree too much, Bride and Bulletproof good episodes but I categorise Legion with Power and Requiem. I didn't like it at all....

Wow, we get to see all the old characters again. Doesn't matter how, I'm glad they're coming back for one last round. It is going to be interesting how they play a part in the Davis arc. And I agree with everyone here concerning Lana. They almost destroyed the season with those two episodes. Made no sense to me why they brought her back the way they did. And how the last episode ended wasn't right, still annoys me.

I'm looking forward to see the Smallville "oldies" again. :D Wether it's new footage or old footage.

The best episodes from the Lana arc were Bride and Bulletproof. Legion, Power, and Requiem I didn't care for. However in Requiem, I did like that Clark and Lana were investigating together.
