Supernatural Season 7 Description

As we know, The CW had their Upfront this morning.

Supernatural continues at the same time slot (Fridays at 9pm) with a new lead-in: Nikita, which is replacing Smallville's old time slot.

Returning for its seventh season, this haunting series follows Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers bound by tragedy and blood to the one thing that runs through both their veins ? hunting monsters. I LOVE how this sounds!! It sounds like Purgatory is possibly going to be opened if they're going to be facing down something that they've never faced before and all they have is each other, but our boys being our boys won't go down without a fight! Go Sam and Dean! This makes me so happy! I can't wait to see what Season 7 gives us! How exciting!!! (jump2) (jump2) (jump2)

The first thing I did when I read the description was think about Cass and Misha's fans... Rest easy, he's not going anywhere :hug:

Ok, not going to lie... LOVED the each other's bit a lot. But, at the same time.... What about BOBBY? (panic)

I'm glad that the new writer and Jim talked via twitter (posted in the Season 7 thread), but this is still making me nervous. They wouldn't make Bobby get possessed or something and make him their enemy..... Right? (panic)

And the certainty that, like the last of the cowboy outlaws, whatever they face, they’re not going down without a fight.

This reminded me of what Robert Singer said.... Bunch and Sundace (sp?), right?. Remembering their end makes me nervous already, haha!

Here's a thought...what if the boys have been sucked into Purgatory and this is why the changing landscape, against a foe unlike anything they've ever fought, only have each other? Hmmm....

I'm trying to conciliate this with Jared's quote about a whole new beginning and Eric's word about making something very crazy at the very last minute and the Cliffhanger of hell..... Yep, maybe you're right, Lana. (It still sounds very weird to me, though)

Either the boys could be falling into Purgatory, or Purgatory has just been unleashed all over the world and with it, changing landscape, new foe, monsters they've never even dreamed of? I think it'd be really cool though in a way if they did fall into Purgatory. That'd be something entirely new. I just love it that says they're only going to have each other. Heeee.

That's what I said before, maybe nothing is coming out of purgatory, but going in, it would be surreal lol

I have no idea of how this would work, to be honest.

It's not that I'm against the idea of them trapped on Purgatory, but what about "Saving people, hunting things"...? How Bobby is going to play out? Or Castiel? Or... I don't know, real people? It sounds weird to me.

Well that's just it isn't it? They're most likely going to be trying to find a way to stop this new foe so they CAN save people. I think if they went back to the old MOTW plot with them hunting something different each week and killing it like they did back in Season 1, that would make it boring because of all the story we've had building for these past six seasons, you know?

I mean they did a filler with a ghost possessing a mannequin for M3:TR, and look how many people complained and whined about it being boring when it was just a normal, typical MOTW hunt. And it wasn't completely clear. I mean we don't know anything about Bobby right now and he's not a series regular. Jared and Jensen are. Misha isn't even a series regular. I don't know why they have him listed as such, but this is the CW and they are idiots.
