Police have said they believe Haim’s death was the result of “an apparent overdose.”

Law enforcement sources reportedly told “TMZ” they suspect Haim’s death was “accidental” and said the former child star collapsed in front of his mother in the bedroom of her apartment before she called 911.

The entertainment site - which broke the news of Michael Jackson’s sudden death in June - reports Haim had been sick over the past few days with flu-like symptoms but that four prescription bottles recovered at the scene were not related to his illness. The sources also revealed to “TMZ” that no illicit drugs were found in the apartment.

The fallen star’s mother reportedly told authorities her son had been battling a prescription drug addiction for years.

Haim had checked in and out of rehab 15 times over the years and had suffered a drug-induced stroke in 2001.

In 2004, he spoke openly in an interview with Britain’s “The Sun” newspaper about his addictions and said that he smoked his first joint on the set of “The Lost Boys.”

“I lived in L.A. in the eighties, which was not the best place to be. I did cocaine for about a year and a half, then it led to crack,” he said.

The struggling actor - whose first role was in the 1984 hit “Firstborn”- never managed to reclaim the kind of big screen success he’d enjoyed early on in his career. He appeared in the “A&E” reality TV show “The Two Coreys” with Feldman but it was cancelled in 2008 after just two seasons.

Haim’s death was a hot trending topic on Twitter Wednesday morning with many fans calling him “a lost boy until the end.”

“I had two Corey posters on my wall growing up, so sad,” tweeted another.

Nelsan Ellis is Lafayette

Haitian Relief Efforts by the American Red Cross and Hope for Haiti in New Orleans is about to receive a very special support on March 20, 2010.

Fan Trips.Travel has announced that HBO’s True Blood’s Nelsan Ellis, aka Lafayette, will join other celebrities such as, Twilight’s Chaske Spencer (Sam Ulley), Alex Meraz (Paul), Daniel Cudmore, Tyson Houseman, Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints players Garrett Hartley and Kyle Eckel, actors Wayne Morgan, Sam Medina and Thomas Hyde III,  to play charity baseball.

Fans will not only get the chance to see these stars playing baseball, but highlights of this event are watching an exhibition game, getting autographs and photos with the stars, meet and greets, and an exciting after-party and concert. 25% of net proceeds from each celebrity baseball ticket sale will go towards these Haitian Relief organizations to support their ongoing efforts to rebuild lives destroyed by this disaster. A portion of proceeds will also be used to support New Orleans non-profit organizations such as The Blood Center and the 9th Ward Field of Dreams. In addition to the game, The Blood Center will host an on-site blood drive.

Now, “Telephone” has a lot to live up to after the iconic masterpiece that is “Bad Romance,” but the singer’s not alone in this. Beyoncé will be there, marking the second time the two have worked together (hopefully this time it’ll turn out better).

Inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s stylized violence, the video picks up where “Paparazzi” left off—Gaga in jail for poisoning her BF Alexander Skarsgård. Of course, he totally deserved it after pushing her off a balcony, but at least B is there to help her girl through this trying time.

All right, who’s excited? Think it can live up to “Bad Romance”?

The Inglourious Basterds helmer has been hit with a plagiarism lawsuit by a man accusing him and former Miramax chairman Harvey Weinstein of stealing his concept for what eventually became a deadly assassin in their Kill Bill double bill.

In the suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday, Dannez Hunter claims he had submitted a treatment to Miramax back in 1999 featuring a character named Ren Short who hails from a historical Samurai lineage and watches his mother brutally murdered “in a cartoon format.”

It just so happens that four years later Tarantino dreamed up an Anime sequence for his Kill Bill flicks in which a sword-wielding assassin, played by Lucy Liu, codenamed Cottonmouth, otherwise known as O-Ren Ishii, witnesses her parents killed on orders from a Japanese mob boss. In his vision, O-Ren eventually becomes a member of the Deadly Vipers and takes her revenge by assuming control of the Tokyo Yakuza.

The parallels were just too much for Hunter who felt he had to take legal action. In a separate allegation, the plaintiff, who describes himself as a minority and former “inner-city youth,” also alleged the Disney subsidiary passed him over for employment and hired Jews and whites instead (In the words of Col. Hans Landa, “the Juden!”)

So aggravating matters further, he felt particularly shafted when Miramax never got back to him about his application.

“[Plaintiff] was never given a return phone call, as numerous similar situated less qualified Jewish and White people were bestowed job after job after job,” Hunter alleges.

Maybe Tarantino should bring in the Bear Jew for this one.

No word why he waited seven—count ‘em seven—years to go to court. But the California native is seeking $1 million in damages.

Reps for the director and Miramax did not return phone calls seeking comment. No doubt they’re thinking it’s just a bunch of pulp fiction.

Zap2it’s Korbi Ghosh attended the Vampire Diaries event at Paley Fest and was able to get as many new information on what comes next on our favorite vampire show as possible.

Korbi spoke to producer Julie Plec who gave all the goodies about Katherine:

“Katherine is not only alive, but she is off and harlot-ing it up somewhere. Last seen in Chicago, she’s probably in Bora Bora right now. She’s kind of a little slut if you think about it.”

According to Julie, we’ll see a whole lot more of Nina Dobrev as evil, slutty Katherine.

Korbi also dished about a devastated and broken-hearted Damon, by saying right on March 25th, when the series come back from its hiatus, we’ll see Damon drunk and SHIRTLESS for the whole episode. Her exact words were:

Damon, crushed by the news that the woman he’s mourned for 150 years is actually doing just fine and couldn’t care less about him. In fact, when “VD” returns on the 25th, the big D will be on a bender. He’s pretty much drunk for the whole episode — and shirtless!! — and will eventually hook up with a hot, older woman (enter Ms. Melinda Clarke of “The O.C.” fame). 

Apparently, Stefan and Elena’s relationship is going to hit the rocks and that will NOT go unnoticed by Damon, who might find out he has feelings for Katherine’s doppelganger. Isn’t that a big YAY?

The happy couple tied the knot last Saturday, February 27th, in her hometown Sun Valley in Idaho.

Jared’s best man was no other than his real life best friend and co-star in Supernatural, Jensen Ackles.

Just Jared has released a photo of the big day and has reported the happy couple has said:

“Our wedding party consists of friends and family that have watched us grow up and watched us grow in our relationship. We thank all of you for being a part of us and cannot wait to grow with you in our lives together.”
