Due to the ever-increasing costs of running a network as big as DFNetwork, and as DFNetwork is completely supported by the Devoted Fans, we need every ones help it keeping the Network running and continuing to bring all the Devoted Fans only the best. If you like this site/fourms, you can help to keep it going. There are a few ways that you can help, outlined below.
Donate — Donations of any size are most helpful and greatly appreciated. You can sign up to make an automatic monthly donation via credit card or electronic check, or you can make a one-time donation in a variety of ways. This is where over 75% of the monthly server fees come from. And it much appreciated.
Shop Online — The DFNetwork including the Network sites are affiliated with a number of online merchants. When you click one of our links to these stores and make a purchase, this site earns a commission (generally 5-15% of the purchase price).
Why Help and Support Are Needed
As I am sure many of you are aware, larger fansites like the DFNetwork need to be on their own “dedicated” server. With over 400 gigabytes a month (March 2008) it is necessary for us to be on our own “dedicated” server, which of course is much more expensive then shared hosting which most other paid sites are on. And as the DFNetwork and its sites continue to grow so does the cost of keeping the Network up.
At this point, the internet advertising business can no longer be the only sources of income for a website. As very little of the percentage of the month server fees are being covered by the affiliate earnings which most commissions are only 5% – 15% of the purchase price, we have had to ask our members and supporters for direct donations through our Paypal.com account or by sending in the donation by mail.
Thus, if you can help in any way, be it through a one-time donation, a monthly donation, shopping online via links from this site to our affiliated stores, or signing up for offers that earn a commission for this sites, it would be greatly appreciated.
